In a world where everything is pretty much digital and online, we rarely get a chance to put a face to a name as much as we used to. When you call our office at Holmeshaw HQ, one person you’ll most likely strike up a conversation with is the lovely James.

We aimed some quick-fire questions at him to help you get to know more about the team you’ll be speaking to…

Describe your work ethic in three words. 

Trust, Empowerment, and accountability

Before working at Holmeshaw, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
I once had a Summer job quality checking locks on uPVC doors. Never found a faulty one!

What drew you to the role, and what made Holmeshaw stand out for you?
After being made redundant for the third time in my career I liked the opportunity to be able to shape my own future!

What motivates you?

Having a healthy and happy family.

What is it about the property investment industry that excites you?

After working in 'non-standard' financial services for 20 years, I'm keen to build relationships with a new type of customer/client base.

What advice would you give to someone who is interested in a role similar to your own?

Go for it! You'll only regret not giving it a shot!

Who’s your most played artist on your Spotify / Apple Music / iTunes account?

I actually don't have a music streaming subscription! I'm recently finding myself switching from Radio 1 to Radio 2.

What are you currently binge-watching on Netflix / Amazon Prime / Disney Plus?

I've recently finished ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ on Disney+. I'm now rooting for them to gain promotion this season!

What do you do in your free time?

I love food and enjoy cooking a lot. Jamie Oliver and Gordan Ramsey have played a big part in this for inspiration! My best purchase recently has been a pizza oven and can admit to having pizza for 4 nights in a row! I have taken up playing golf again recently and immediately realised the reason I gave it up!
